Sweden is setting out its plans for infrastructure development. A budget of €18.68 billion has been set for road maintenance during the 2022-2033 period.
The Swedish Ministry of Infrastructure is keen to improve maintenance levels on Sweden’sroad network, stating that this has been underfunded in previous years.
The Swedish Transport Agency(Trafikverket) has said that more will be required however to ensure that the country’s roads do not degrade by 2033. According to Trafikverket, a budget of €21.24 billion will be required for road maintenance during the period.
