The World Bank is providing a funding package worth $680 million for Assam State in Northern India. The funding will be used to improve road connections in the state.
One of the key targets for improvement will be for the installation of EV charging facilities. New EV charging hubs will be built on the main highways and trunk roads in Assam State.
In addition, new bridges and roads will be built, while road maintenance works will be carried out. The work will help boost transport in the state, boosting economic development.
