A $200 million budget for road upgrades and maintenance work is being made available in Brazil’s Mato Grosso State. The funding is being secured by the local authorities in the state from the World Bank and will be used to improve state highways.
Around 730km of highways will benefit. The majority of roads being improved are located in the Vale do Ivinhema region. Maintenance work will be carried out over a 10-year period.
