Rebuilding the road between Senoba and Ziguinchor in Senegal is costing $204 million. The work is being managed by the Agency of Works and Road Management (AGEROUTE). Senoba and Ziguinchor are around 160km apart by road and the new link will boost transport and cut journey times between the two. It will also improve transport connections to neighbouring Gambia.

The route forms part of National Road 4 and the project is providing much-needed construction jobs in Senegal. Completion of the project is expected towards the end of 2025. Planning for the project was managed by the African Development Bank (AfDB). Construction work for the project is being managed by Senegal’s Ministry of Infrastructure and Land and Air Transport.
