BOMAG claims improved paving performance for its upgraded CR 820 T Series 2 asphalt paver. The key feature is that the machine is fitted with the latest Versa 16 front-mounted screed which is said to offer better material flow and distribution and an improved mat-finish quality. The screed extends from 2.4-4.7m, suiting a wide range of highway-class operations.
Power for the 16.5tonne machine comes from a fuel-efficient diesel, meeting Tier 4 Final emissions requirements. The operator station is designed to offer good visibility over both the screed and hopper, as well as high comfort and low working noise. Maintenance is optimised due to the sophisticated BOMAG telematics system which helps optimise service schedules and minimise downtime.
