A new raised expressway link is being planned for Kolkata in India. The 6.5km stretch would form part of the Kona Expressway. The National Highways Authority of India is managing the project.
The bidding process for the contract will open in due course and should be awarded by the end of 2022. Building the new raised link is expected to take 36 months to carry out. The new raised expressway will add capacity and reduce congestion, cutting journey times for drivers.
