Maintenance work is being carried out on Slovakia’s D3 motorway, while construction of the final 10km stretch is now commencing. SKANSKA SK is carrying out the €261 million project to build the final section of the D3.
Completing the 10km stretch of the D3 will take until 2029 to finish. This complex project includes building 22 bridges, new interchanges and environmental measures. Improvement works for existing sections of the D3 will include repairing or replacing bridge joints and upgrading tunnel stretches.
Meanwhile, construction work has been carried out by SKANSKA SK for the D1 motorway between Lietavská Lúčka and Dubná Skala. A concrete road surface has been laid in the north tunnel, followed by the south tunnel while tunnel lining work has been carried out. A 30km stretch of the motorway has been surfaced with asphalt, with bridge and interchange work also being completed.
