A major transformation driven by Ermont expertise
For years, Ermont has supported the sector in designing safe, high-performance and responsible facilities. AtGignac-la-Nerthe, the challenge was clear: replace a 48-metre high batch plant commissioned in 1996 with a nextgeneration industrial plant, more compact, capable of producing more, recycling more, and significantly reducing its environmental footprint.
Ermont’s answer: the TSX28 INCITY, flagship model of the TSX INCITY range, specifically designed for urban or peri-surbansites requiring compactness, reduced nuisance, energy efficiency and high recycling performance.
Before / After: the tangible impact of the Ermont solution

This technological leap reflects Ermont’s commitment to providing equipment that combines industrial performance and environmental responsibility.
The TSX28 INCITY: Ermont innovation for more sustainable territories
The TSX28 INCITY plant meets the growing needs for decarbonisation and recycling in road infrastructure. It combines industrial performance, circular economy principles, and environmental care.
• Recycling up to 70% of asphalt aggregates
Thanks to its unique single-drum design with a twin-shaft continuous mixer, the TSX28 INCITY allows the maximum use of local construction materials while ensuring complete binder remobilisation, essential for durable high-recycled-content asphalt.
• Reduced energy consumption and carbon footprint
The plant can produce asphalt at lower temperatures, reducing energy use, and offers solutions such as light asphalt with bio-binder, contributing to a significant reduction in CO₂ emissions.
• Optimised environmental integration
The TSX28 INCITY has been designed to minimise environmental impact (lower CO₂ emissions, reduced energy use, better landscape integration) and to facilitate the local acceptance of industrial projects.
• High and continuous production capacity
With an improved production rate for high-recycled-content asphalt, the plant ensures a steady supply for large projects, while maintaining flexibility for local works and specific territorial needs.
• Technical innovation supporting the circular economy
The integrated DuoTherm process combines heat exchanges between gases and aggregates at moderate temperatures, preserving the binder and improving the quality of recycled asphalt. This system ensures optimal performance while reducing the environmental impact of the installation.
An integrated recycling platform: a virtuous circle promoted by Ermont
The project also includes an ICPE-compliant recycling platform capable of processing up to 100,000 tonnes per year of inert materials (milled asphalt, aggregates and asphalt crusts). This approach, promoted and supported by Ermont, is a key driver of the circular economy in public works.
A strong collaboration with Provence Enrobés
The success of this project relies on the trust of Provence Enrobés. Ermont welcomes the vision of this company, committed to the sustainable modernisation of its facilities and the decarbonisation of its activities.
“We are proud to have delivered to Provence Enrobés a TSX28 INCITY plant that embodies the excellence of our expertise and our commitment to more responsible industrial installations. This project perfectly illustrates Ermont’s mission: to provide high-performance, scalable and territorially acceptable solutions“, says Thomas BAILLON, Director of Ermont.
Ermont, partner in sustainable industrial projects
Based in Lorette (Loire), Ermont is a leading French player in the design and manufacture of innovative asphalt plants
Ermont solutions help companies, local authorities and public works operators to reduce their carbon footprint, increase recycling rates, and improve local acceptance of road construction projects.
The inauguration of the TSX28 INCITY plant in Gignac-la-Nerthe once again demonstrates Ermont’s ambition: making sustainable roads possible, rooted in local territories and looking to the future.
