The CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026 exhibition in Las Vegas got off to a busy start, with attendees squeezing into the monorail from early in the day to attend the show. Attendance figures were not available from the show organisers, the Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM), at the time of writing. But it was plain to see that visitor numbers were high.
The showground has been revamped, with an improved connection between the original show halls and the newer West Hall. And throughout the day, visitors and exhibitors thronged the aisles both inside and outside.
As evening fell the crowds thinned, but many were still in the showground attending a selection of exhibitor events.
Technology has been to the forefront for the construction sector for some years and this year’s CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026 is proving no exception. Digitalisation has been a watchword in the past and this is now being surpassed by the abbreviation AI, which only a few years ago would have meant little to most and something to only a few. The pace of technology development in construction is increasingly rapid and is becoming ever more important, with more key abbreviations likely to become as commonplace in the future as digitalisation has become today.
