Construction work is underway for a new expressway in India that will cost $144 million. The project is being managed by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). This will provide an improved link between Uttar Pradesh State and Haryana State.
The 72km expressway is due for completion in 2027 and will deliver an improved transport link between Aligarh and Palwal. This will cut journey times for drivers and provide a safer route with increased capacity. It will provide a bypass around Jattari and Khair. Included in the project is construction work for new flyovers and bridges. The largest bridge will be the new structure spanning the Yamuna River.
