Efficient and effective compaction, as well as increased productivity, are claimed by Wacker Neuson for its latest plate compactor models. These new units are offered with diesel and petrol power. The DPU5260 and DPU6275 are powered by Hatz diesels while the BPU5260 and BPU6275 models feature Honda petrol engines. The DPU5260 and BPU5260 models are in the 300kg class while the DPU6275 and BPU6275 are in the 510kg class.
All four variants are said to feature 30% more gradeability, 20% greater forward-travel speed and lower hand-arm vibration (HAV) than the models being replaced. In addition, the open baseplate design is said to further improve compaction performance.
The new BPU/DPU models benefit from an ergonomic user interface that makes work easier. The handle also adjusts in height to suit the size of the operator.
