An important dual carriageway upgrade project will be carried out in Uruguay’s Florida Department. The work will be carried out by a joint venture partnership combined of the contractors Stiler and Incoci and called Consorcio Vial Ruta 5.
The stretch of the Route 5 dual carriageway to benefit from improvements lies to the north of Florida. The work will involve improving the existing route, adding additional lanes and carrying out necessary maintenance. The work is expected to cost US$100 million. Construction will commence in the third quarter of 2022.
