Hyundai’s new-generation excavators offer superior performance

Construction Equipment Hyundai North America is unveiling the first models of its Next Generation HX crawler excavators.

The firm says that these new models integrate advanced technologies that utilise Hyundai’s core qualities of productivity, operator comfort, safety and serviceability. At the same time, the new machines deliver significant improvements in fuel efficiency, according to Hyundai. Key features include fast cycle times and precise operation. The latest engine technology means that the machines are powerful and economical on fuel, while also featuring low emissions that meet the Tier 4 Final/Stage V requirements.

Cabs are said to be comfortable and quiet, with good ergonomics and a wide all-round view. Touchscreens provide operators with key operating, performance and maintenance data, while the machines also have Hyundai’s sophisticated telematics package for effective fleet maintenance, as well as geofencing capabilities. The machines can be used with the latest 3D technology to maximise operating efficiency and reduce reworking.
