The tender process is opening in Oman for a major road widening project. The project is for the dualisation of the remaining sections of the Adam-Thumrait road. Running 400km, the route connects Haima in Al Wusta with Thumrait in Dhofar. This road widening and upgrading project is expected to take 36 months to complete once construction commences and the work will include building bridges and tunnel sections, as well as access roads and drainage facilities. The bidding is being handled by Oman’s Ministry of Transport and Communications (MOTC).
