The Malaysian Government is aiming to speed up the tender process for works to the Pan Borneo Highway. A new pre-qualification system is being introduced by the Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Public Works.
The Pan Borneo Highway is a key transport link for Malaysia and its construction is being prioritised. Completion of the route will help boost Malaysia’s economy and several sections are already in use. Work is either underway or planned for 35 sections of the route in Sabah.
