Caterpillar is unveiling its next-generation 150 and 160 motor graders which are said to feature sophisticated technology, allowing accurate and efficient operation. The latest low- emission diesels drive the machines, meeting requirements for Tier 4 Final and Stage V regulations. Versions suited to the emissions requirements of other territories are also available to meet the demand from the global market.
Advanced controls are offered for both the 150 and 160 graders. The smaller 150 comes with both joystick and lever controls while the 160 has a joystick-only system. The new controls are said to allow precise operation, a key feature for a grader being used for accurate finishing work. The machines are designed to be used with the latest Cat Grade control technology, offering a range of 2D and 3D options depending on customer and application requirements.
The latest drivelines have been fitted to the machines and are said to deliver constant traction even in poor underfoot conditions. Meanwhile, the moldboard is designed for optimum material handling, further boosting grading efficiency.
