Major road upgrade work is planned for Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh City. The authorities envisage an impressive budget of US$42.1 billion being spent on improving transport infrastructure for the city between 2021 and 2030.
Of this sum around 40% will come from the state budget, with other funding sources providing the remaining 60%.
Works being planned include the construction of the Ring Roads No 2 and 3, the Ho Chi Minh City-moc Bai Highway, National Highways No 1, No 22, and No 13. They also include a number of elevated roads, improvements to main intersections and the construction of new bridges.
