Road maintenance and improvement projects will be carried out in Nigeria’s Abia State, in the South East of the country. A substantial portion of the funding for the work is being provided by the African Development Bank (AfDB) in the shape of a US$115 million loan.
The work is costing $264 million in total and will see 58km of roads being improved in Umuahia and 190.5km of roads being improved in Aba. The road improvement work is due for completion in 2029.
