Funding has been approved for an important road project in Nigeria’s Ebonyi State. A US$70 million loan is being provided by the African Development Bank Group (AfDB) in partnership with the Africa Growing Together Fund (AGTF). Meanwhile the Islamic Development Bank (IDB) will provide $80 million, while the Ebonyi State Government is providing $17.6 million. In all, the project will cost $167.6 million to carry out and involves constructing a 178km highway, which is due for completion in 60 months.
