The Terex ADTs have been carrying out valuable work for Gaddum Construction in New Zealand

New Zealand-based Gaddum Construction is using two TA300 Terex Trucks articulated haulers to move end material and metal for road building as well as shifting logs.

The firm has been carrying out a hauling project on the steep slopes and slippery surfaces of Omaio Forest, on the east side of New Zealand’s North Island, around 57km east of Opotiki. The company, which specialises in the construction of infrastructure on challenging terrain, has been using two TA300 articulated haulers from Terex Trucks on the project.

Guy Gaddum, the owner of Gaddum Construction commented that having onboard scales helps the operator utilise the truck at its capacity. He added that for the excavator operator, the light system is useful too as it features bright LEDs mounted to the rear of the cab, showing when the material being loaded is within the TA300’s maximum payload range.

Gaddum Construction carries out projects across Omaio Bay, Whakatane, Rotorua, Taupo, Thames and the Coromandel. The company purchased its two TA300 haulers from Porter Equipment, the official Terex Trucks dealer in Australia and New Zealand since 2017.

The TA300 haulers have a maximum payload of 28tonnes and a heaped capacity of 17.5m³, with power from a Scania DC9 engine, allowing the machines to perform in the steep hills of Omaio Forest.
