Freeway improvement works are being planned for Taiwan. New on and off ramps will be constructed for National Freeway No 1 at the Wugu Interchange. National Freeway No 1 will also benefit from improvements to the Linkou Interchange.
A budget of US$228.5 million has been set for the work. The new ramps for the Wugu Interchange should be complete by February 2027 while the improvements for the Linkou Interchange should be ready by April 2027.
The work is expected to boost capacity and lower congestion, while also helping to improve traffic safety for drivers.
