The Lokotrack LT350C is the first cone crusher in Metso’s new Lokotrack EC range and part of the Finnish company’s Plus offering. It introduces a diesel-electric product line and the Nordberg HP350e cone crusher. The LT350C can be upgraded to adapt to evolving mobile crushing requirements, allowing lower running costs and reduced CO₂ emissions.
The new diesel-electric powerline ensures efficient power for crushing. Connecting to the grid not only lowers the operation’s CO₂ emissions, meeting sustainability targets, but also lowers noise to surrounding areas.
All the process functions are electric. The electric components endure demanding conditions and are globally available for quick and easy maintenance. Using electricity in process functions also significantly lowers hydraulic oil volume at only 81 litres.
Use of common parts between models lowers the parts inventory and makes maintenance easier and quicker.
The Lokotrack LT350C, together with all the EC range machines, has an advanced IC process automation. More sensors have been added to avoid unnecessary process stops or equipment failures. One example is the generator bearing temperature sensor that monitors the bearing condition to avoid any buildup of dust.
There is a remote IC app for remote-process control. The app is installed to a mobile device and it connects all the Lokotrack machines together, letting the operator control the process safely from the excavator cabin without needing to jump off and do the settings at the IC panel.
