Metso is introducing a new diesel-electric range of crushers to its well-established Lokotrack models. The EC models include the LT400J, a high-production jaw crusher, and is being joined by the LT350C which features the firm’s latest impact crusher.
The Lokotrack LT400J is the first jaw crusher in the new EC range and is part of the sophisticated Metso Plus offering. It features electric process functions as well as usability improvements. The LT400J can be upgraded to adapt to evolving mobile crushing requirements, ensuring lower operational costs and reduced CO2 emissions.
The new diesel-electric powerline ensures efficient power for crushing. Connecting to the grid lowers CO2 emissions and reduces the noise to surrounding areas. The electric components are designed for demanding conditions and offer easy maintenance. Using electricity lowers hydraulic oil volume, while use of common parts between the models lowers parts inventory and makes maintenance easier.
The 68tonne LT400J can be set up using the remote control from a safe distance while maintenance points are designed for easy access.
The LT400J features the powerful Nordberg C120, an efficient jaw crusher for hard-rock crushing and recycled aggregates. A process status light shows the operator when to feed the process, while adjustable magnet height adds versatility for materials-recycling applications.
The Lokotrack LT400J, together with all the EC range machines, has an advanced IC process automation. This renewed automation keeps the process going, protects the equipment with[kh1.1][MW1.2] interlocking the crushing chain and ensuring process is close to capacity. More sensors have been added to avoid process stops or equipment failures. The new generator bearing temperature sensor monitors the bearing condition often caused by dust.
The remote IC app allows remote operation of a Lokotrack train to boost productivity and safety. The app is installed on a mobile device and connects Lokotrack machines, letting the operator control the process from the excavator cab. The Metso Metrics online monitoring service keeps a user up to date on processes, helping maintenance and output.
