New highway works are commencing in Lithuania. The project will see the Via Baltica route being improved and upgraded between Marijampole and the border with neighbouring Poland.
The work is due for completion in the third quarter of 2023 and will see the route being widened so that it features two lanes in either direction, boosting capacity and safety. This is the first contract for the improvement work to the Via Baltica highway. The work will cost nearly €56 million.
