The tender process for amajor toll road project in Indonesia is now commencing. The country’s toll road regulatory body, BPJT, is preparing the online prequalification process for the bidding on the Patimban toll road project.
The toll road will measure 37km and is expected to cost around US$353 million to build according to the results of the feasibility study. A substantial portion of the funding required will be delivered in the shape of a loan from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
The project should be complete by early 2024 and will improve access to Patimban port. Interchanges will be built at Tambakdahan, Pasir Bungur, Pusakagara and Pabuaran. Building the new route will improve trade and transport for Indonesia.
