Road building works are planned for India’s Uttar Pradesh State and Tamil Nadu State. In Uttar Pradesh State plans are being drawn up for the Ganga Expressway Project to connect Meerut and Prayagraj. The work will be offered in four packages, worth around US$678-780 million. The project for the 594km expressway will be handled under the PPP model and will feature a design speed of 120km/h.
Meanwhile, in Tamil Nadu State the $122.3 million project to build a road featuring three lanes in either direction has been awarded to IRB Infrastructure Developers. The new road link will provide a fast connection between Kannigaipair and Pondavakkam.
