The last section of the Patras–Pyrgos highway in Greece is now open to traffic. The opening represents a €331 million investment, which is being integrated into the Olympia Odos concession contract.
As part of the integration of this new section into the existing Olympia Odos concession, VINCI Highways and its partners, Avax, Aktor Concessions and Gek Terna, were in charge of the design, financing and program management of the 75km corridor and will operate it until 2044. This approach enabled the Greek State to accelerate delivery while ensuring a consistent operational standard across the network.
This project will helps to transform the former national road into a modern, safe and efficient highway. The new corridor improves travel times, strengthens road safety and enhances access to key destinations in Western Peloponnese. New technologies including fully automated tolling, EV charging and upcoming solar-powered operations, contribute to better service quality and environmental performance.
