Work is planned for the A14 Autobahn project in Brandenburg, Germany. The 155km A14 route links Magdeburg with Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, passing through Prignitz. This will be the largest Autobahn project for Germany’s Eastern States.
The 18km stretch linking the junctions for Wittenberge and Karstädt is expected to cost €315 million. This section will be upgraded and widened, boosting capacity.
The A14 project is one of several now being financed via extra funding supplied by Germany’s Federal Ministry of Transport . New highway and transport construction and maintenance projects will be funded as a result.
