Said to be 50% smaller and 30% lighter than those used for EU stage IV systems, the single canister design has been made possible from the use of advanced catalyst technologies that deliver improved particulate matter and NOx reduction capabilities. In addition, the DPF’s passive regeneration minimise the need for preventative cleaning and maintenance, said Cummins.
