Construction is underway on the challenging highway project that will connect Preljina and Pozega in Serbia. Although the highway is just 31km in length, the project presents an array of technical challenges to its builders.
The topography of the area means that the highway will feature a number of bridges, overpasses and tunnel sections. Construction work is being carried out on the key tunnel section for the highway at present.
Once complete, the new highway will help to improve transport across Serbia, providing a much-needed boost to the economy.
