A new bridge costing $778 million is one of six planned to improve transport links between Dong Nai Province and Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) in Vietnam. The first three of the bridges will be major capital projects carried out under the PPP model, with approval having been given for the work by the People’s Council of Dong Nai Province and due for completion in 2028.
Construction of the Cat Lai Bridge will cost an estimated $778 million. This will feature four lanes in either direction and have a total length of 11.6km, linking Dai Phuoc Commune in Dong Nai with Nguyen Thi Dinh Street in HCMC.
Costing some $622.5 million, the 15km Phu My 2 Bridge will link Nguyen Huu Tho Street in HCMC with Road 25C in Dong Nai. The Long Hung (Dong Nai 2) Bridge will cost $448 million and provide a link between National Highway 51 in Dong Nai and HCMC’s recently completed Ring Road 3.
The three remaining bridges to be built in the future are the Thanh Hoi 2 Bridge, the Tan An Bridge and the Tan Hien Bridge.
