A design-build contract is being carried out by Jacobs and Sundt Construction for the $600 million Kino to Country Club Project in Pima County, Arizona. Construction work is already underway, having commenced in mid-2025 and will take until 2028 to complete.

The project is for the widening of a 5km stretch of I-10, which includes rebuilding several interchanges. Capacity on the route will be increased, reducing journey times as well as safety for drivers in and around the city of Tucson. The work is being carried out for the client, the Arizona Department of Transportation.

According to the Arizona Department of Transportation, this is the first project to come out of the Interstate 10 and State Route 210 Transportation Design Concept Report (DCR) that was completed in 2020. The I-10: Kino to Country Club project was programmed into the 2024-2028 Five-Year Transportation Facilities Construction Program.

The project includes reconstructing I-10 with three general purpose lanes in each direction between milepost 262 (east of Park Avenue) and Alvernon Way, rebuilding the interchange at I-10 and Kino Parkway and building a new interchange at I-10 and Country Club Road. It also includes removing the interchange at Palo Verde Road and I-10, building a new I-10 westbound entrance ramp from Alvernon Way and building an I-10 underpass to connect the North and South Kino Sports Complex.
