With a maximum lifting capacity of 60tonnes and a boom length of 48m, the crane’s 115kWh high-capacity, on-board battery provides emission-free lifting operations. Both AC and DC charging options are available, affording customers operational flexibility and convenient operation.

The hybrid engine, which provides up to 400kW power, is for moving the crane between jobsites. Braking and coasting energy is recovered, reducing fuel consumption by more than 40%.

One of the new crane’s major talking points is its winch servo control technology, which automatically manages the winch during telescoping and luffing, helping to reduce operation time by up to 40%.

“Targeting carbon peaking by 2027 and carbon neutrality by 2049, XCMG is continuously upscaling its research and development as well as manufacturing capabilities to spearhead the development of alternative power solutions,” said Jianshen Liu, vice president of XCMG and general manager of XCMG Import and Export.
