An insurance payout of $350 million is due from the insurance company to Maryland shortly.However, substantially more funding will be required to pay for a new bridge and this still has to be secured.
Numerous transportation upgrades are planned for Maryland at present.
The new bridge should be complete in the third quarter of 2028.
