Cedarapids, part of Terex, has introduced TRAC, a vibration-analysis system specifically for the crushing and screening industry that allows clearer, more accurate screening diagnostics.

Unlike generic vibration tools, TRAC has been engineered from the ground up by Terex engineers, specifically for crushing and screening environments. There is, however, the potential to extend TRAC across a broad range of vibrating equipment.

The system uses four WiFi‑enabled sensors mounted on the screen structure to capture acceleration, velocity, movement, inclination, orbit and bearing behaviour. The coordinated data allows operators to identify issues such as loose components, damaged media, broken springs, hazardous frequencies, imbalance or timing problems to confirm correct screen installation and performance. An iPad shows simulated diagnostic outputs to demonstrate the system’s reporting capabilities.
