Construction work is planned for a new road and rail corridor connecting Greece,Romania and Bulgaria. The project is intended to boost transport in the region. this will form part of the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T) development.
The project has been discussed by the governments of Greece, Romania, and Bulgaria. The road and rail connection would provide a new transport link between the Aegean Sea, the Black Sea and the River Danube. This project will improve transport between the three nations and Central Europe. Tourism in the coastal areas will also benefit from the project.
