The Tanzania National Road Agency (Tanroads) is managing four major highway projects that have been awarded to four Chinese contractors. In all the routes will stretch for a total of 432km and the work meanwhile will cost a total of around US$313 million. China Geo Engineering Corporation will carry out the work for the Usesula-Komaga route, which will cost $70.21 million. China Wu Yi is building the highway from Komanga to Kasinde, which is costing $62.72 million. China Railway Seventh Group (CRSG) has the contract for the Kasinde-Mpanda, which is costing $59.14 million. Meanwhile China Henan International will build the section from Mbinga-Mbamba Bay in a contract worth $57.32 million.
