Road improvement works are planned for South Africa’s Gauteng Freeway. A financing solution has been secured for the US$2.6 billion Gauteng Freeway Improvement Project (GFIP).
An e-tolling solution is being sought for the 201km expressway. The provincial government for Gauteng will handle maintenance for the route, as well as the various interchanges.
