Scania get tough with Off-Road truck versions

To address the needs of the off-road market, Scania has added bigger non-slip steps, an additional step for windscreen cleaning and light guards to its off-road range of tractive units and multi wheelers. As an option the chassis can be supplied with factory-fitted PTO hydraulics and tank to power tipper rams or similar.

Sennebogen shows dragline at INTERMAT

While draglines are now a rarity, Sennebogen showed its 50tonne operating weight duty cycle crawler crane, the 650HD, with 2.33 dragline bucket. The machine is one of a 10-model range with operating weights from 20-180tonnes and engines between 119 and 708kW. It can be used in civil engineering, mining, demolition or material handling.

Rokster unveils smallest crusher to date

Rokster Recycler has developed its smallest mobile crusher to date, the R700S. Weighing in at 22tonnes when equipped with a screen box, or 19.3 tonnes without, the crusher can be transported as a single unit by truck. The machine is powered by a 129kW FPT engine, driving a 930mm rotor. Production capacity is 150 tonnes/hour.

INTERMAT is new Hemisphere for Canadian firm

Turkish firms bidding for Bosnian project

Bosnian Minister of Transport and Telecoms, Damir Hadzic, who is currently visiting Turkey has reported that there is a possibility that Turkey could be awarded a concession for construction of the southern part of the Corridor Vc motorway through Bosnia. He made his announcement for the Andoli agency. He said that he already held several talks with Turkish companies for construction of the motorway. Russian connection to be constructed

The new eastern bypass for Khabarovsk in Russia is being discussed by the local authorities. The 30km highway will feature four lanes and will connect the Chita - Khabarovsk (M-58) and Khabarovsk - Vladivostok (M-60) highways. It will also link with roads in the city at nine interchanges. The highway will have a speed limit of 140km/h. The project will be run on a public-private partnership basis and will cost US$540 million. Zoomlion finds buyers for both cranes brought to INTERMAT

Zoomlion is celebrating a successful visit to INTERMAT after selling both the tower crane and the crawler crane that it brought to the show. The T320-16 tower crane has been sold to Germany rental company Streif Baulogistik, which operates a fleet of hundreds of cranes in Germany and Poland. Sandvik Construction is to reintroduce the Rammer-branded hydraulic hammers and attachments

Rammer, which has remained a recognised name in hydraulic hammers and attachments although it was withdrawn in 2007, is set to make a return as Sandvik Construction announces a multi-brand strategy. The tip is made of what the company says is the hardest material on the planet – polycrystalline diamond. JCB’s record annual results

JCB chief executive Alan Blake revealed record financial results for the UK machinery manufacturer during INTERMAT in Paris. Turnover in 2011 rose to US$4.37bn (€3.33bn), 37% up on 2010, with earnings before tax of €430m from sales of 69,100 machines. Model&Co revealed new grouter at INTERMAT

Model&Co, a Spanish manufacturer of foundation engineering equipment, used INTERMAT to launch a fully automatic concrete grout mixer. ith advanced electronics, the new mixer uses a touch-screen control panel for the input of concrete powder ratio and water volumes. It can deliver up to 170litres/min of hydrogenised grout at working pressures of up to 115bar. The mixer drum can also be rotated 95° from its vertical position, to simplify washing out.

Putzmeister’s new self-propelled pump can be quicker than a truck mount

Putzmeister’s new BSC 1409 D self-propelled concrete pump is designed for concreting drilled piles on unfinished surfaces and can deliver up to 85m3/hr at a pressure of up to 71bar. A new highway project is underway in China
