Vögele says that its new SUPER 2000-5 X and SUPER 2003-5 X Highway Class pavers can be fitted with the firm’s new VR 600 and VF 600 screeds. The machines are said to offer high operator comfort, automated processes and short setup times.
The SUPER 2000-5 X tracked paver enables paving widths of 3.05-8.5m, while the wheeled variant SUPER 2003-5 X achieves paving widths of up to 7.75m. Both pavers are designed for high paving speeds and maximum laydown rates of 1,390tonnes/hour. These Dash 5 machines feature increased operator comfort and reduced setup times, increasing productivity and reducing transport costs.
The VR 600 is equipped with a redesigned guidance system that simplifies the paving of concrete profiles. In addition, it offers paving widths of 3.05-7.9m and is suitable for highway construction with high paving speeds. The VF 600 offers an optimised material flow for even material spreading and offers paving widths of 3.05-7.75m and can handle jobs with varying working widths. The extensions of both screed types can be tilted by up to 10% to meet paving needs of the North American market.
The new Paver Access Control function (PAC) allows faster set up times from ground level, while the Lighting Package Plus option has integrated LED lights for better safety when working at night. The AutoTrac automatic steering, automatic screed width control and Smart Pave digital paving control mean that the operator can focus on material flow through the machine for a consistent finish. The digital Wirtgen Group Performance Tracker (WPT) Paving allows documentation of paving onsite. The RoadScan option can be also be added to enable precise, full-coverage measurement of the mat temperature over a measuring width of up to 13m.
