Major new Chinese highway projects are being planned. One 87km highway will feature multiple lanes in either direction connect the new Beijing Airport with the Dezhour Expressway. The new highway link will also connect Jingjijie with the Tianjin-Shijiazhuang Expressway, with the project expected to cost over US$2.8 billion. A new expressway will also connect the Beijing-Taipei Expressway with the Beijing-Hong Kong-Macau Expressway and this 73km stretch is expected to cost nearly $2.9 billion to build.
