A new bridge and road connection will be constructed in Cambodia. The bridge will span the Tonle Sap River, and together with the road, this will improve transport connections between Kampong Chhang Province and Kampong Thom Province. The work is expected to cost US$200 million in all, with the road measuring 57km-long and the 3.9km-long bridge crossing three branches of the Tonle Sap River. The new road will provide a new connection between Route 5 and Route 6 and the bridge will become the longest in Cambodia.
