The US state of Missouri has set a budget of US$100 million for improving roads and bridges. The work is desperately needed, as Missouri has around 700 bridges in serious need of repairs or even replacement.
A recent report by ARTBA highlighted the poor state of bridges in many US states, with Missouri being fifth worst in terms of bridge quality.
The maintenance plans are being set out by the Missouri Department of Transportation.
