Plans are in hand for upgrade work to the Ionian State Road in Italy. The route measures a total of 491km and a budget of€3 billion has been set for the work.
One of the key components of the project is the construction of the stretch linking Sibari and Catanzaro. This stretch in southern Italy is being widened so that it has two lanes in either direction.
