The Laos Government has given its approval for the proposed alignment for the new expressway linking Vangvieng with Luang Prabang. A feasibility study for the project is being handled at present for the Ministry of Public Works and Transport.
The new expressway will measures 137km and feature two lanes in either direction. This new route will form part of the 460km expressway connecting capital Vientiane and Boten. Improved transport will help develop the economy of Laos.
