The Mastic Kettle crack and pothole sealer is a first from Etnyre, based in Illinois, USA. The automated controls and a heavy-duty, dual-side auger system ensure consistency of the mastic. It flows freely, from entry into the ‘kettle’ and – thanks to a heated exit ramp – right into the prepared road surface.
An indirect fire-heating system, with turbulent heat chamber, provides even and consistent material temperatures. Etnyre said that the precision-tuned diesel burner delivers exceptional fuel efficiency. There is also full wrap insulation – sides, bottom and top – of the mastic mixing tank for the best possible heat retention.
To ensure safety of operators and machine, there is a dual-thermostat safety system that monitors both material and plate temperatures.
