IRF Geneva is reaching out to partners and members throughout a series of events hosted around the world. The IRF will start the year with three major events respectively in Nice, Singapore and Sydney. IRF Geneva is pleased to support the second Pavement Preservation and Recycling Summit (PPRS) which will take place in Nice, France, on 26-28 March 2018. Better maintenance of road infrastructure and urban networks is key to support the projected level of mobility of people and goods. Preventing our roads from experiencing an irreversible degradation is a must and this event will help identify effective ways for doing that.
On 9-11 April IRF Geneva will host in Singapore together with Marcus Evans the 4th Annual Roads and Highways Conference. The event is conceived as a one-stop shop for transport stakeholders to look into innovative ideas and discuss proven, sustainable practices in the development of road infrastructure. This highly interactive conference will highlight case studies from around the world on all aspects pertaining to roads and highways from design and development, to funding, innovative maintenance practices, road safety and smart mobility, while providing at the same time an excellent networking platform.
On 31 May and 1 June, IRF Geneva and Roads Australia (RA) will again join hands to present Asia Pacific’s most significant knowledge-sharing event for roads and transport leaders. Both organisations invite the global roads industry to meet in Sydney for the IRF-RA Asia and Australasia Regional Conference. Against the backdrop of Sydney’s magnificent harbour, government and industry leaders from across Australia, Asia and the Pacific will come together to dissect the issues that are shaping Asia and Australasia’s transport future. These include: the impact of new technologies and materials; the evolving roles of government and the private sector in building, owning and running roads and transport. They also include: the changing shape of cities and how it will affect infrastructure planning and delivery; the renewed focus on customer-driven transport planning and solutions; and the age-old question: how do we pay for it?
