Work is now to go ahead on 28 major highway projects in India. The works are for a total distance of 231km of highway. The various projects will cost close to US$165 million to complete.
The works will be carried out in Uttarakhand include upgrading work for National Highway-309B. Improvement work will be carried out on the Askot- Lipulekh highway. The 900m Rudraprayag Tunnel will be built, as will a bridge spanning the Alaknanda River connecting National Highway 107 with National Highway 07.
