Funding has now been secured in France for work to the Saône-et-Loire section of the Centre Europe Atlantic Road (RCEA). An additional €81 million is being provided that will help to finish work on the route.
This additional funding comes following an agreement between the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region, the Saône-et-Loire department and the Creusot-Montceau urban community (CUCM).
The road was originally expected to cost €328 million. The work is due for completion in late 2023.
