Webuild has been awarded a €531-million contract to build Lot 1 of the SS106 Jonica (Ionian) state road in Calabria, South Italy. The section runs between the Coserie Viaduct and the West Corigliano interchange.
The project will take advantage of the expertise and experience gained from the construction of the Third Mega Lot of the SS106 Jonica State Road, where Webuild is already working.
Along the SS106 Jonica State Road, Webuild will deliver a total of approximately 55km of the new road corridor. The work on the Third Mega Lot – the main project along the Calabrian section of the SS106 that will help connect the Ionian coastlines of Calabria, Basilicata, and Puglia – have reached around 80% completion.
